Neurorehabilitation patients, as such, can only be moved with their beds. That they are too big and don't fit in the Businco lifts, where the department dedicated to them could be set up: «We ask ourselves: is it the Brotzu company's intention to rent a crane and leave it permanently located at the Oncology department to allow these patients to be cured? Or are we faced with a problem of organizational incapacity?».

These are the questions posed by Giampaolo Cugliara and Giampaolo Mascia, respectively provincial secretaries of Cagliari and South Sardinia of the Fials union. The questions are posed with a note dealing with the hypothesis of setting up the ward which should follow patients recovering from stroke or serious accidents on a slow journey back to life.

At the moment the structure is dismantled: it was led for a long time by the professor of Physiatry Marco Monticone, on the basis of an agreement between Arnas and the University: the professor was the subject of an academic controversy, with a team of researchers who contested the veracity of many of his scientific publications, which have been withdrawn. Meanwhile Neurorehabilitation is a department that does not exist ( HERE THE NEWS ). Work had been carried out at Businco but, for various reasons, he had never (re) left.

Now, according to Fials, they want to speed up, but there would be major drawbacks. «Businco was born as a dedicated hospital for oncological pathologies and is a regional point of reference for many of these», underline Cugliara and Mascia, «the hospital's mission alone would be enough to understand how a Neurorehabilitation department could be poorly integrated into a dedicated to other pathologies".

In addition, and not in the background, there is the complaint about the lifts: «The Oncological Department lacks space for other already existing services. Those that you want to make available for neurorehabilitation, for trade unionists, «could be destined for assistance to cancer patients, giving them, their companions and all health professionals the possibility of having more comfortable dedicated spaces».
