Assault on armored vehicles, Saviano: «No defamation of Barbagia, telling means being loyal»
«Sardinian bandits behind the robbery on the Aurelia»: the writer under escort speaks out after the controversy over the video investigationIl servizio di Gianfranco Locci per il Tg di Videolina
Clear words that the writer Roberto Saviano entrusted to a video on his social channels: behind the attack on two armored vehicles on the Aurelia in San Vincenzo (Livorno) there is a gang of Sardinian robbers.
A sector, says Saviano, that is in the hands of the Foggiani and the groups, as far as the Island is concerned, arriving from Sassari and Desulo. Words that have aroused contrasting and adverse reactions, first and foremost those of the mayor of the Desulese community.
But Saviano does not take a step back and states: "Is telling the story of the crime that happens in Barbagia defaming a territory? On the contrary , it is being loyal, which is what the mayor - and many others - are not doing by not telling this story".
Saviano, what made you say so confidently that there was a Sardinian origin behind the attack? "The operating methods and the accent that the attackers have in the video. Those who operate in those territories are Sardinian or Cerignola, Foggia organizations. Sardinian organizations have been attacking armored vehicles for decades."
