Collaboration between the Italian Coast Guard and the gas tanker Tsala of the Algerian oil company Sonatrach has allowed the rescue of 30 migrants aboard a dinghy in difficulty off the coast of Sardinia.

Sonatrach announced this on Facebook, specifying that yesterday, "while the gas tanker Tsala was approaching the coast of Sardinia in Italian territory, it received an urgent call from the Italian Coast Guard to carry out a rescue operation on a vessel blocked in the open sea."

"The ship responded positively and rescued the 30 stranded passengers, all illegal migrants."

The migrants were immediately taken into care by the Tsala, where they received food and medical care.

«The Italian Coast Guard then recovered all the passengers around 3:30 p.m., thanking the crew of Sonatrach's Tassala for their active participation».

After this humanitarian rescue operation, the note concludes, "TSLA resumed its unloading mission as planned."
