Cagliari, Alessandra Zedda calls Massimo Zedda

Alessandra Zedda has just telephoned Massimo Zedda to congratulate him and wish him well. The gap is now too wide for the centre-right candidate. «Honor to the winner», he told Videolina : «We are convinced that we have been loyal and correct, I have always built and never destroyed. Morally, we are the winners, we fought against adversity, even against slander and unfair actions. The political forces of Cagliari have not shown that they love fair competition, the people of Cagliari do. Now we have hard work ahead of us. We will certainly carry out all the battles we want to carry out, we hope that there will be collaboration and that the new Zedda council will really do what it promised in the electoral campaign. We built a good team, thanks to those who ran with me: we knew it was tough but we weren't scared. The people of Cagliari wanted to give us a signal but we will try to give a new direction to the centre-right. We will do the good of this city, even in the minority."

In Cagliari the gap between the candidates is growing

More complete data arrives from the Cagliari sections. In addition to those on the two main challengers, the representatives in the polling stations are also communicating the percentages of the other three candidates in the running to Massimo Zedda's headquarters in via Emilia: when 16 out of 173 sections were closed, the former mayor of the capital sees the gap from Alessandra Zedda of the centre-right rises to just over two thousand preferences. Massimo Zedda would have already received 4,445 preferences (61.07%), Alessandra Zedda 2,491 (34.22%), Giuseppe Farris 234 (3.21%), Claudia Ortu 56 (0.77%) and Emanuela Corda 53 (0. 73%). In the meantime, the mayoral candidate with a clear advantage so far has arrived at the headquarters in Via Emilia: Zedda is currently following the counting in an office room on the top floor, together with representatives of the coalition. From what we learn, the slowness with which the data is uploaded onto the Municipality and Interior Ministry platform (only 5 sections out of 173 are official) could be due to doubts of interpretation in the counting of the ballots, in particular for the split vote.

Golfo Aranci, counting finished : Giuseppe Langella is the most voted councilor

Counting finished in Golfo Aranci, 1,315 ballots scrutinized, the preferences of citizens in the Gallura town for the SìAmo Golfo Aranci Rudalza list, the only one running in support of Giuseppe Fasolino, go to the outgoing councilor, Giuseppe Langella, very loyal to the new mayor, who will sit for the sixth time on the benches of the City Council, already deputy mayor in the current council led by Mario Mulas, and who with 218 votes is the most voted among the twelve candidates. Followed by Mario Fasolino, with 215 votes, former commander of the local police, and Manuel Derosas, born in 1986, in his first political experience with 158 votes. Sinnai, partial data but Pusceddu ahead

Still very partial data from Sinnai, where however a clear success is emerging for the Largo camp and for its mayoral candidate Barbara Pusceddu . In one of the most populous sections, number one, in via Perra, in the polling station closest to the town hall, out of 500 ballots counted, 310 would be for Pusceddu. In other sections the margin would be even more substantial. Optimism transpires from the centre-left coalition, where victory in the first round is now more than likely. An optimism justified by the very large gaps towards Aurora Cappai, the candidate supported by a civic center which however also includes the Forza Italia list. At the moment, in the center left, the list that seems to garner the most preferences is that of the Progressives, followed by the Democratic Party. Third, with a detachment, is the candidate Aldo Lobina, supported by only one list. (Marco Noce)
