Pfizer Italia in the sights of the tax authorities .

The Guardia di Finanza and the Revenue Agency have launched a tax audit, this is an administrative activity still in progress and the outcome of which is still to be defined.

According to Bloomberg reports, Pfizer would have transferred 1.2 billion euros in profits to divisions in other countries to avoid paying taxes on profits . The pharmaceutical company has not yet been notified of anything because the checks are still ongoing and will continue in the coming days.

The survey relates to the years 2017, 2018 and 2019 , therefore before the Covid pandemic.

Routinely " the Italian authorities carry out checks and Pfizer cooperates ", explains the spokeswoman for the pharmaceutical company Pam Eisele, adding that Pfizer "complies with the tax laws and requirements of Italy".

In particular, Bloomberg reports, Pfizer Italia would have transferred 1.2 billion euros to the divisions affiliated with Pfizer Production and Pfizer Manufacturing in the United States and the Netherlands to avoid taxes on profits.
