Raoul Bova sues Fabrizio Corona for "illegal dissemination of personal data" to make money.
The actor has taken a new initiative following a defamation lawsuit filed by his lawyer (and former mother-in-law) Annamaria Bernardini de Pace.Raoul Bova is suing Fabrizio Corona for leaking private messages between the actor and 23-year-old influencer Martina Ceretti . These files were allegedly forwarded to Corona by PR manager Federico Monzino, a friend of the young model.
Following the defamation complaint filed by lawyer (and former mother-in-law of Bova) Annamaria Bernardini de Pace, a more serious one has been filed for "illegal dissemination of personal data." A crime punishable by a maximum sentence of three years in prison. The document, signed by lawyer David Leggi, highlights the former paparazzi king's incitement to circulate the messages on Telegram, linking to his social media channels : "Share this with your friends, guys, so we can normalize this 'VIP' a little, they're not cooler than you," he wrote.
For the lawyer, the profit motive "appears undeniable": Corona's social media channels are paid and there are also advertisements "which, obviously, tie the economic return for the 'guest' to the views of the content they publish."
Corona, it continues, "initiated the viral spread of illegally published content, which was exploited for purposes of mockery and ridicule." Therefore, there was both the goal of profiting from the affair and the intent to cause harm, the two conditions that would constitute the illicit dissemination of personal data.
The actor had already turned to the celebrity divorce lawyer, the mother of his ex-wife, whom he separated from in 2013, to address new issues regarding the custody of his children with his ex-partner, Rocio Munoz Morales. In the past, Bernardini De Pace personally oversaw the divorce proceedings of his daughter Chiara Giordano, then married to Bova, previously calling the actor a "degenerate ex-son-in-law." Twelve years after their separation, the situation has reversed: now it is the actor who has requested the divorce lawyer's intervention to assist him. "In addition to blackmail, when those chats and audio recordings were released, other crimes were committed, which justified our appeal to the Guarantor. This whole story is a shameful affair, in which Raoul behaved like a good man, who decided to report it rather than pay, as most celebrities do, in order to defend himself from the damage to his reputation. He, however, reported it despite being aware of the risk," explains Annamaria Bernardini De Pace.
