Just when it seemed all over, Cagliari found a last-minute comeback and earned a crucial point in their relegation battle in Verona. The match at the Bentegodi Stadium finished 2-2, with Felici's 92nd-minute equalizer following Idrissi's goal.
The match began with a collision between Núñez and Borrelli, who remained on the ground in pain. After two minutes of treatment, play resumed, and the Cagliari center forward had the first chance: a pass forward, he beat Valentini to the ball, and with his left foot, he grazed the top corner with a fine finish that Montipò could have done little to save. The Rossoblu returned in the 13th minute, when Gaetano controlled the ball and, with a diagonal shot from the center-right, was saved by the goalkeeper for a corner: providential, because otherwise the ball would have ended up in the net.
Núñez couldn't cope with a shoulder problem, and in the 16th minute he was replaced by Bella-Kotchap in the first substitution of the match. Six minutes of injury time were played, and in the second minute Felici swapped with Pavoletti and ran past two opponents (Fallou and Nelsson) before scoring with his right foot to make it 2-2 . A beautiful move, resulting in a crucial goal that tied the game.
