Wind power in Barumini, marching to defend Su Nuraxi
The committees are mobilizing, three days of struggle are planned from today until May 30th

A march from Las Plassas to Barumini to say no to the wind turbines in front of Su Nuraxi . The Permanent Garrison of the Sardinian People is calling on citizens who care about their land and want to defend it from the assault of multinational wind and photovoltaic companies to mobilize. "From today until Saturday, May 30th, we will be in Barumini with a permanent garrison day and night to defend one of Sardinia's symbolic places from yet another assault on its territory." Speaking on behalf of the Garrison is spokesperson Davide Fadda.
Today, at 5:30 PM, the march will depart from the main square of Las Plassas : a four-kilometer walk will be the launch pad for a struggle that will last three days, until Saturday. "This is not a simple initiative," says the activists' spokesperson. "It is a call to collective responsibility. Barumini is not just a vacant lot, it is not a square on a map. Barumini is history, memory, landscape, identity, Nuragic civilization, the very essence of Sardinia. Anyone who thinks they can decide the fate of our land from above will find a people standing up. We invite citizens, committees, associations, administrators, movements, and all free Sardinians to participate, to be there, and to take a stand."
