Change at the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri in Cagliari . Colonel Daniele Crediddio is leaving the leadership of the Operations Unit to lead the Provincial Command in Rimini; Lieutenant Colonel Francesco Donvito has arrived from the Provincial Command in Turin to take his place.
"I will remain attached to Cagliari," Crediddio said this morning as his successor and the other newly arrived officers were presented to the press. "I found it a wonderful city, a city with a remarkable quality of life. Over the years, we have worked to ensure this quality of life continues to exist. Many statistics have proven us right: crime rates have dropped, and this is certainly a success for the Cagliari Carabinieri ."
He assured that he intends to continue in the footsteps of his predecessor, Lieutenant Colonel Donvito: "This is my first experience in Sardinia," he said. "It's a wonderful experience . I've already spoken with my colleague to understand the major problems."
Along with the new commander of the Operations Unit, the new commander of the Cagliari Company's Mobile Radio Unit, Lieutenant Luca Ciotti, was introduced. He replaces Captain Gianmarco Daidone, who will lead the Quartu Sant'Elena Company. Major Michele Cerri is leaving his post to lead the Mobile Radio Unit of the Florence Provincial Command.
Among other changes, Captain Luca Delle Vedove leaves command of the Dolianova Company to join the Gorizia Company; in his place, Captain Antonio Pagnozzi arrives from the fourth section of the Turin investigative unit. There's also a change at the San Vito Company: Captain Pasquale Striano leaves to go to Porto Maggiore, near Ferrara, and Captain Edoardo Quaglino arrives from the Savona NORM.
