The money to cut waiting lists has been allocated: 13 million, of which 5.4 are earmarked for private healthcare. But the procedures to distribute them have yet to begin. This element, combined with the small amount of money, makes those in the field think that the emergency of lack of assistance, now dramatic, is far from being resolved.

"With the spending cap reduced to our sector by eight million for 2024 alone," says Giorgio Corona, owner of the eponymous radiology studio in Cagliari, "there is a concrete possibility that this money will not solve the problem, in addition to arriving very late."

The majority's position is of the opposite nature. "With respect to the critical issues we have inherited," says Carla Fundoni, Pd quota, president of the Health commission, "the one just approved was an urgent measure to implement and extraordinary with respect to the resources we have already allocated."

What are we talking about? An example: for a colonoscopy, reservations are for May 2028 .
