The Bechere case returns to court with important news: the Attorney General's Office has requested the Tempio prosecutors' files. The case concerns the story of Rosa Bechere, the 60-year-old pensioner from Olbia who disappeared on November 25, 2022, from her home on Via Petta.

The motion to dismiss the case was denied and a hearing was set (scheduled for today but postponed to a later date) because the Court upheld the objection of lawyers Cristina and Abele Cherchi, representing Davide Iannelli, the missing woman's husband. A case has been opened against Maria Giovanna Meloni and Giorgio Beccu, both under investigation for the woman's disappearance. Rosa Bechere's partner continues to request further investigation, wanting to know what happened while he was in prison.

Iannelli was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Tony Cozzolino (March 2022). The new development is the prosecutor's office's order to produce the documents. The Tempio Prosecutor's Office, after conducting searches, DNA tests, and on-site inspections in various areas of Olbia, had requested the dismissal of the case for murder and concealment of a corpse. Meloni and Beccu, assisted by criminal lawyer Giampaolo Murrighile, were accused of killing the woman after stunning her with drugs. The prosecutors wrote that there was no evidence against them. But now the case could take a completely new turn.

"For us lawyers, this is a major step forward. We await news on the convocation of a new hearing and on the Attorney General's possible decision not to close the case ," said Cristina Cherchi, who, along with her colleague Abele Cherchi, represents Rosa Bechere's family.
