He was looking for his missing dogs, but he got lost too.
A man had a nasty experience today, unable to find his way back and getting lost in a very steep ravine in the Lanaitho Valley, between Oliena and Dorgali.
The unfortunate man requested emergency assistance around 1:30 PM. The Nuoro Fire Brigade's Provincial Operations Room immediately activated the Sardinia Flight Department based in Alghero, which sent the Drago VF148 helicopter to the scene.
The man, in good health, was recovered by the helicopter, which then also searched, unfortunately in vain, for the dogs.
