The seventh edition of Vita da aMare, a project of the Municipality of Olbia dedicated to the social inclusion of people with disabilities , was inaugurated today in Porto Rotondo with the Due Golfi trophy, a sailing race in memory of Olbia's nautical manager Bepi Carlini.

Until the end of November, 25 appointments are planned including motor therapy, hippotherapy, skill games, catamaran trips, environmental education workshops and experiences on educational farms involving local associations. The event was presented this morning at the Porto Rotondo Yacht Club by the Councilor for Tourism, Marco Balata, by the president of the Social Services council commission, Maria Antonietta Cossu, by the general secretary of the Porto Rotondo Consortium, Paolo Manca, and by the president of the Porto Rotondo Yacht Club, Sandro Onofaro.

«Our administration is particularly keen on this event, which has grown over the years, because it is the event that, more than any other, transmits and gives us added value», said Balata: «This year the calendar is richer in content because, in addition to sailing trips, there will be many collateral events." The tourist village has fully participated. «We consider ourselves privileged to be supporting events of this kind also because the Consortium's social commitment is not only expressed in caring for the environment but also in adhering to this type of initiative», said Paolo Manca.

The president of the Yacht Club Sandro Onofaro added: «We believe in social inclusion and sport as a driver of integration, this event cannot be missing from our initiatives».
