There were moments of apprehension on Tancau beach, on the Lotzorai coast. It was around 10:30 a.m. when some swimmers saw a man struggling in the water.

The lifeguard at the Papaveri e Papere beach resort played a decisive role. The emergency number 112 was immediately called, which mobilized personnel and resources: an ambulance and an Areus helicopter.

Echo Lima 3, which took off from the Elmas base, landed in a clearing next to provincial road 63. Its doctor lowered himself to the beach with the help of a winch.
