The request for assistance was accepted by the operations room of the Coast Guard of Arbatax which, under the coordination of the 13th MRSC of Cagliari, arranged for the intervention of the CP 2091 patrol boat and the nautical association closest to the Porto Corallo area. Despite the leak on board, the escorted catamaran managed to reach the marina where an ambulance was waiting.
The Coast Guard personnel in synergy with the Porto Corallo marina guaranteed the safe mooring of the damaged vessel and the safe disembarkation of the injured person, entrusting him to the medical staff and then transferring him to the Muravera hospital.
