A 64-year-old man accused of sexual assault against a close relative was arrested in recent weeks and transferred to Bancali prison for alleged repeated sexual assaults.

Today, the Court of Appeal replaced the prison sentence with house arrest, accepting the arguments of attorney Nino Vargiu. The problem is that the man was designated, as the residence for the new personal coercive measure, the house where the victim, a young woman, also lives .

The person who allegedly suffered abuse for years is afraid, unwilling to share an apartment with the suspect, and has reportedly taken to the streets. The alleged victim has no intention of living with the man who allegedly abused her. The Carabinieri are on scene.
