Serious accident at work last night in the countryside of Villa San Pietro.

In the Su Paraxiu area an excavator overturned and a 55-year-old was crushed.

The 118 rescuers intervened on site. The injured man, in serious condition, was taken by helicopter to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari.

According to an initial reconstruction, the man was working on family land when he lost control of the vehicle, which overturned, causing injuries to various parts of his body.
