With an average of 17 thousand doses per day (of which two thousand are first administrations), the anti-Covid vaccination campaign in Sardinia is proceeding.

To date, the people vaccinated on the island are 1,288,870, equal to 80.6% of the "vaccinable" population. And the aim is to reach - and perhaps exceed - 85% coverage within a month.

In the meantime, in many areas of the island, the "Open Day" initiatives continue, to facilitate the administration to the population.

The Asl 3 of Nuoro, for example, has launched an itinerant initiative, which started in Ottana and will continue in the next few days until it reaches all the municipalities of the province.

The aim is to make vaccination easier for citizens aged 12 and over, residing in the municipalities involved.

"Our goal - underlines Paolo Cannas, general manager of the Nuorese Local Health Authority - is to provide citizens with an additional opportunity for vaccination, meeting people in places usually lived in by the community. Of course - continues the CEO - itinerant open days are an additional opportunity compared to the traditional vaccination campaign of the hubs and district vaccination points, which will continue according to the normal schedule ".
