In front of the Costa Smeralda airport in Olbia, the protest of the Air Italy workers explodes, who in these days have begun to receive dismissal letters from the Sardinian-Qatari airline which has ended up in liquidation.

Some employees have symbolically hung their uniforms on the fence of the airport, setting them on fire.

The demonstration, organized by the trade unions Ap, Cobas, Usb and Anpav, was attended by more than a hundred workers left without a contract that binds them to the carrier and without layoffs, which expired on 31 December.

The hope is that the dispute will not be closed definitively, but that it will be kept open, with the immediate convening of an inter-ministerial table.

"We are in full pandemic emergency, and this blocks any ambition of relocation to workers with specializations that cannot be spent in sectors other than air transport", says the regional secretary of Anpav Sardinia, Marco Bardini, "for 1322 families there will be no future in lack of a strong and immediate recovery action by the Government ".
