Deputy Prosecutor Rossana Allieri has requested the indictment of Claudio Gulisano, 44, charged with the aggravated double homicide of his parents, Luigi and Marisa Dessì, aged 79 and 82, as well as computer fraud for withdrawing €20,000 from their accounts using their online banking platform. The 44-year-old, represented by attorney Luigi Sanna, is scheduled to appear in court on December 19.

The referral to the Assize Court was expected: the contested aggravating circumstances make the crime punishable by life imprisonment and do not give Gulisano the possibility of accessing alternative procedures.

The double homicide

According to the reconstruction of the Prosecutor's Office, the elderly couple were killed by their 44-year-old son on December 4th of last year in their apartment on Via Ghibli. According to experts Rita Celli (a forensic doctor at the University of Turin) and Claudio Medana (a toxicologist at the same university), the suspect first suffocated his mother with the scarf she was wearing around her neck, then waited several hours for his father to return, who had gone out for his usual morning walk. At that point, he also killed him through so-called "soft asphyxiation," pressing his face against the armrest of the chair or using a pillow.
