An unprecedented Sardinia seen through the eyes of a little girl who listens to the dream of an island full of charm and mystery from the words of her mother, interpreted by the actress Caterina Murino . An evocative story in images in a mix between reality and fantasy to create a cinematic effect, to make "An extraordinary world" known internationally, to be experienced 365 days a year. This is the title of the new promotional spot wanted by the Sardinia Region, presented in Cagliari, and which will be broadcast on the web and through national and foreign media, from Europe to the United States. The cost of the project is 2.4 million, that of the spot is 100 thousand euros. Ninety seconds to bring out the charm of an island, with its identity, full of tourist attractions and many wonders. Produced by the Presidency of the Region, directed by Manuele Trullu, music by Flavio Ibba , the video starring the actress from Cagliari starts with the image of a Mamuthone emerging from the seabed and who, at the end, once the mask is removed, reveals the face of a woman. "To underline the strong female identity and the importance of women in our land", said the vice president of the Sardinian council, Alessandra Zedda . "The spot closes in a double dimension in a fantastic atmosphere on top of Punta La Marmora and then returns to the real world in front of the magical scenery of Tavolara", said director Trullu. A journey through colors, traditions, archeology, nature, history, architecture, symbolic beauties of Sardinia portrayed in a contemporary key. In the foreground, among others, the nuraghe of Santu Antine, the Giants of Mont'e Prama, the whiteness of the dunes of Porto Pino, bays, the blue sea, fiery sunsets. Also of great impact is the reinterpretation of Sa Ramadura with the image of rose petals that flood the earth and become an energetic flow of heat.

“We aim for the affirmation of the 'Sardinia brand' and thanks to our identity qualities we can consolidate ourselves in the international tourism market. The strategy that aims at promoting culture, natural beauty, traditions and food and wine is certainly the right one ”, added Councilor Zedda.

“A tourist promotion spot that aims to confirm Sardinia among the most popular tourist destinations - said the councilor for tourism Gianni Chessa -. Above all, it tends to enhance the numerous opportunities to attract tourist flows in the shoulder months. The spot will go around the world, in particular it will be advertised in the United States through various media. An important market (at least 18% of American tourists present in Italy arrive on the island) with good growth opportunities and which is one of the next objectives of regional planning. Now we are strongly focusing on seasonal adjustment and this video will also contribute to presenting an inviting image of the island, focusing decisively on history, archeology and traditions ”.
