A young man from Porto Torres was arrested last Saturday night (14 February) by the Carabinieri of the local company who executed an order for the application of the precautionary measure of prison custody, issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Sassari.

The man is accused of having repeatedly violated the measures imposed by the judge to protect his elderly mother, a victim of domestic abuse , including the ban on residing in the municipality of Turritano and on approaching the mother's home.

Despite the measure, the police spotted him wandering the streets of Porto Torres, and in the previous days the young man had approached his parents' home. The man was apprehended by the Carabinieri and transferred to Bancali prison.
