Selargius Mayor Gigi Concu breaks his silence following the arrest of Councilor Gigi Gessa, implicated in the Crazy Horse investigation conducted by the Cagliari Police.
This morning, the mayor signed the decree revoking the councilors' responsibilities. "Following press reports and a subsequent political assessment," it was explained, "the mayor has decided to restructure the composition of the City Council, revoking the responsibilities of Councilor Luigi Gessa." Gessa's responsibilities— Technological Services, Greenery and Urban Furnishings, Road Maintenance, Urban Hygiene, and Technical-Administrative Management —are temporarily transferred to the mayor himself.
The decree emphasizes the "revocation of Councilor Gessa with immediate effect and consequent immediate termination of his position."
A necessary act, to which Mayor Concu added a few words: "We place our trust in the judiciary and law enforcement, hoping they can quickly shed light on what is undoubtedly a sensitive matter, one that affects us all in one way or another . We trust that Gessa will be able to demonstrate his innocence, and we remain at the complete disposal of the investigators, who will certainly be able to shed light on the news that has been circulating since yesterday."
