The parking lots at the Alghero Civil Hospital are impassable, with potholes, ditches and huge puddles .

The U the Fpl with the responsible secretary As l Oscar Campus, "strongly denounces the critical state of the parking spaces, which are effectively inaccessible. This situation, in addition to representing a clear state of neglect and lack of maintenance, causes daily material damage to healthcare personnel and users' vehicles , while also generating significant logistical and organizational inconvenience for all those who travel to the hospital every day," the union representative noted.

Furthermore, this is a situation that regularly recurs every year during adverse weather events and rainfall, cyclically rendering parking areas unusable. "The parking area in question is in fact used monthly by thousands of workers, patients, and citizens who access the healthcare facility to receive medical and care services, including many vulnerable individuals, the elderly, and those with reduced mobility, often accompanied by aids such as wheelchairs and walkers," Oscar Campus continues.

"The current state of the area seriously compromises the safety and accessibility of the spaces, effectively hindering the right to access healthcare services and endangering the physical safety of both users and healthcare workers." For this reason, Uil Fpl has formally requested the management of the Sassari Local Health Authority (ASL) to take urgent and decisive action to restore the minimum safety and usability conditions of the parking area, by resurfacing the road and eliminating the reported issues. "In the absence of timely response," the statement reads, "we reserve the right to take any further action to protect workers and users."
