The Region's silence generates approvals. The RWM Italia industrial site, the bomb and drone factory in Domusnovas controlled by the German group Rheinmetall, has become fully operational. The Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security has approved—in implementation of the Regional Administrative Court's ruling of October 17, 2025, which upheld RWM's appeal, noting the Region's failure to complete the process aimed at regularizing the facilities—the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure for the expansion work already completed, thus definitively unlocking the plant's full operational capacity .

MIMIT announced in a statement: "MASE's approval of RWM Italia represents a decisive step in the revitalization of the Sulcis area. Now, maximum commitment is needed to develop production and employment," stated Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy. "This measure will allow us to overcome a period of uncertainty and guarantee the site's full production continuity, paving the way for a new industrial revitalization process that, once fully operational, will lead to the permanent employment of hundreds of workers and the creation of new jobs," the statement continues.

On the employment front, the minister welcomed "the start of discussions between the company and social partners requested at ministerial level on job stabilization, with the first meeting already held on January 20."

The approval of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA ) "represents a crucial step not only for the company's continued production and job security, but also as a concrete sign of commitment to the economic revival of Sulcis, a strategically important area requiring solid and long-lasting industrial policies," the statement concludes.
