Robbed of the pension – hers and her husband's – which she had just collected from the post office, she thanks but refuses the donation of a group of hunters who wanted to give her a hand: «Donate the money to those who need it most».

It is a story that comes from a crime and culminates in an act of great dignity and solidarity that comes from Tiana , in the province of Nuoro. The protagonist is a 90-year-old woman. Yesterday morning she went to the post office. She had the money from her pension and that of her husband delivered, plus the thirteenth month: about three thousand euros. Then she returned home. Shortly after she remembered she had to run an errand and went out again. When she returned, she found the nasty surprise: the money was gone. A thief, who perhaps had followed her, broke into the old couple's home and took possession of an easy booty.

The news of the theft immediately went around the town, which has yet to mourn the tragedy that took place at the beginning of November, when Marilena Ibba and her husband Guglielmo Zedda died in the explosion of a house due to a gas leak. The condemnation was unanimous. The tam tam on the story moved to whatsapp chats. And Marco Efisio Pisanu, who presides over the Hunting, fishing and Sardinian traditions association, also learned about what happened in Tiana: with the affiliates, through the sale of a calendar of photos of hunters, every year he organizes a fundraiser whose proceeds are donated to a good cause.

«This year we have raised just over 1500 euros. I contacted the lady who was the victim of the theft, to propose to give her and her husband the money», explains Pisanu, «she thanked her several times for what she herself defined as a "noble thought", however, refusing the offer and saying that they would have managed to overcome this bad moment anyway ». But that's not all: « He then invited me to donate the sum to other causes, highlighting that in this way they too would contribute to satisfying those who needed it most. I was moved », concludes the hunter.
