On July 1, the activities of the tourist medical guards in the local health authority of Cagliari start, but only in Pula, Costa Rei and Teulada .

«Despite the many difficulties encountered - explains Marcello Tidore, manager of Local Health Authority 8 - we managed to activate the tourist medical guard offices, which will increase the continuity of assistance in the seaside resorts to guarantee assistance to residents and tourists in view of the launch of the bathing season".

In Pula and Costa Rei it will be active until 15 September, with a double shift on the weekend, in Teulada until 31 August.

Tidore explains that "the problem of the serious shortage of medical professionals still remains this year", which " doesn't allow us to open the other tourist medical guards that the company planned to activate , in places that unfortunately were not chosen by the doctors ».

The ASL " continues to look for solutions, especially for Villasimius , in the hope that it will be possible to involve enough doctors to activate the assistance point at least a few days a week".
