The European Globalization Adjustment Fund will help displaced workers. The Sardinian agency for active labor policies (Aspal), has published two notices, which provide for a bonus for the creation of businesses, aimed at former Air Italy Spa workers, belonging to the pool of 611 workers in Sardinia and the 190 workers in redundancies from the Cagliari Cict industrial port company already recipients of active policies , according to the agreements signed between the social partners, the Department of Labor and Aspal.

The incentive can be accumulated among several beneficiaries in the event that they form a company or cooperative. Eligible for funding are new entrepreneurial initiatives (self-employment or individual and/or associated business activity) for the production of goods in the following sectors: industry, handicrafts and transformation of agricultural products, supply of services to businesses and individuals, commerce of goods and services, tourism and cultural promotion. This is an "over the counter" notice, applications will therefore be examined in order of arrival until resources are exhausted, and can be presented from 9 am on 15 January 2023 and until 12 noon on 31 March.
«We support those who have been expelled from the labor market», says the president of the Region, Christian Solinas, «by encouraging self-entrepreneurship. Through a non-repayable economic contribution, to cover start-up and management costs, we encourage the creation of new businesses in the regional productive fabric or in the virtual market».

The Councilor for Labor Ada Lai specified: «We draw on the EGF», she explains, «to help workers who have lost their jobs following structural changes in the market. Self-employment is a great opportunity for job creation , starting your own business or starting a small business. Those admitted to the contribution will not be left alone in the realization of their entrepreneurial project, but will be supported by Aspal with a specific measure of assistance to self-entrepreneurship, which provides for the attendance of the WeRentrepreneur course, an essential requirement for the admissibility of the application".
Both tenders, drawing on EGF resources and co-financed with regional resources, provide for a bonus for business creation projects.
