Valledoria: Woman seriously injured after being hit while crossing the street
An 83-year-old woman who was hit by a car was rescued by helicopter and taken to hospital with a critical condition.

An 83-year-old woman was struck by a car while crossing the street and airlifted to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari with critical condition.
The accident occurred on Thursday morning in the centre of Valledoria, in Corso Europa , shortly after 1pm, when the pensioner was about to cross the road on foot.
The elderly woman was struck by a car driven by a woman. Local police officers from the town arrived at the scene of the accident, along with Carabinieri officers from the local station, who were on duty conducting patrols in the municipality.
The impact was violent, the 83-year-old woman was thrown a few meters before ending up on the ground.
Given the circumstances and as a precaution, the elderly woman, after receiving initial treatment, was transferred by 118 air ambulance to the Sassari civil hospital.
His condition is serious but his life is not in danger.
