The school does not slip, the return to class remains fixed between 7 and 10 January. The government rejected the request of the Campania governor De Luca, who had spoken of a 20-30 day stop for a safe return in February.

In Sardinia the debate is open: to return on the 10th or the 7th, as per the calendar? And sample or mass tests before returning to the benches?

The regional councilor for education Andrea Biancareddu, speaking on the proposals launched by the coordination of the school councils and the mayor of Cagliari , opens up the possibility of starting again on the 10th, but with a "sample" and not mass screening as requested by Paolo Truzzu and the coordination of the school boards of the island, given the lack of tampons.

"I do not see the need to bring students back to school on the 7th, they could very well start again on the 10th but only if these two days were to guarantee a safe return, perhaps through a sample screening campaign, otherwise it would be just a day of vacation in more ”, declares the exponent of the Giunta Solinas.

He says he is in favor of returning to class because "distance learning can be discriminatory", Biancareddu, but specifies: "A sample campaign is more realistic because lately there has been a shortage of tampons".

However, the sharp rise in infections at national and regional level leads to some reflections: “I could go so far as to hypothesize a limitation of canteen services. But in no way can we think of the closure, before other places, of the school, which is not the place where most of the infections occur ".

Rather, the commissioner concludes, "the operation of bringing the unvaccinated to have no alternatives to the vaccine should continue".
