Cagliari welcomes the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Torch. On Sunday, December 14, the capital city will be one of the stops on the journey of the symbol of the Games, an event that will draw spectators and onlookers along the route. To ensure the safety of the event, the Municipality has issued a series of temporary traffic and parking restrictions. The restrictions will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and will affect some of the city's central arteries.

Via Roma, on the portico side, will be closed to all vehicles except those following the event and waste collection vehicles. Parking will be prohibited and vehicles will be towed away on both sides.

On Viale Diaz, between Piazza Scopigno and Via Catania, a parking ban will apply, with vehicles towed away on the right-hand side toward Via Catania. On Via Rockefeller, between Via Pessagno and Via Rolando, the same ban will apply on the right-hand side toward Via Rolando. In both cases, only vehicles following the event will be allowed to park.
