The new commander of the penitentiary police at the Badu 'e Carros prison in Nuoro took office this morning .

Amerigo Fusco arrives from Milan , where he led the agents of the Opera prison, and takes the place of Francesco Dessì, suspended for three months by the Dap after the sensational escape from the high security department of the boss of the Gargano mafia Marco Raduano , a fugitive since February 25th. He had escaped by lowering himself with the sheets from the surrounding wall.

Fusco was welcomed by the director of the penitentiary, Patrizia Incollu, and by union leaders. «The new manager has an important task - said the secretary of the FNS Cisl Giovanni Villa who brought the greetings of the agents - He will have to study the organic plan of the institute and solicit the new figures of non-commissioned officers which today the prison of Nuoro lacks . And not only human resources are needed, but technological equipment and everything that improves prison security. I also felt like expressing our closeness not only to the commander but also to the director Incollu and to all the staff on duty ».

While as far as the investigations are concerned , «first of all we hope that the prisoner who has escaped from the highly dangerous situation can be captured as soon as possible. But also that the Ministry of Justice, which is conducting an internal investigation at the prison, will tell us in a short time whether there have been breaches in security and precise responsibilities. We are also waiting for the Nuoro public prosecutor's office to run its course with the parallel investigation opened immediately after the escape".
