There are also the Leopard 2, the tanks of the Bundeswehr, the German armed forces, among the military vehicles in action at the Capo Teulada range for the NATO Noble Jump exercise: on the field there are 2,200 soldiers from Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Luxembourg.

"The Noble Jump 23 exercise demonstrates that NATO is united, ready and willing to defend the allies: it is a demonstration of our determination and our capabilities", declared Navy Captain William Urban of the JFC in Naples in recent days.

But above all, it renews the alliance's commitment to pursuing "a 360-degree strategy", committing itself to all theatres. Also in the south and not only in the east, just to be clear.

In Madrid, the leaders decided to strengthen deterrence after Russia's invasion of Ukraine by creating the New Force Model of NATO, which will replace the current Response Force.

As? By creating three levels of readiness, the first of which undertakes to deploy "more than 100,000 soldiers" within a maximum of 10 days.

"The whole system is being defined but the regional plans, for the north-central and south quadrant, have been completed: there is great satisfaction with the work done and for the first time in 30 years, NATO has defined a program coherent defense against Russia, after years in which attention has been reserved for intervention in theaters far from the Euro-Atlantic area», an allied diplomatic source explains to Ansa.

The Nobel Jump exercise therefore serves to test NATO's operational capabilities at a time when war has once again raged in the heart of Europe, as the general secretary Jens Stoltenberg repeats.
