At the San Gavino basilica in Porto Torres this afternoon an immense crowd wanted to pay their last respects to Marco Satta Giannichedda, the young 32-year-old boxer from Turri who died of a heart attack (as established by the autopsy) on 19 June.

The basilica was not enough to contain all the people who flocked. In fact, a few hundred people were forced to remain outside . Those present followed the funeral mass with great emotion, concelebrated by Don Michele Murgia and Don Tore Masia.

In the front row Marco's closest friends, who wore a T-shirt with the inscription “ Tyson's locomotive ”, the bar successfully managed by the former boxer. From all, therefore, a testimony of affection for Marco and his family. At the exit of the coffin, a big applause from the crowd. Young friends let white balloons fly into the sky. Which should ideally reach a generous and intelligent young man who in his short life has managed to make himself loved by everyone.
