Gallura is a destination for superyachts: 135 more in June than last summer.

A prime destination for luxury boats, 960 superyachts were spotted along the Gallura coast in June, 135 more than in the same period last season.

Approximately 3,400 yachts were registered at landing points throughout the Gallura region: the waters of La Maddalena boasted the highest number of visitors, with 779, followed by the Costa Smeralda with 710, and Porto Rotondo with 592. The map of the favorite destinations for gigayachts in June also includes Santa Teresa, with 487 landings, Tavolara 343, Olbia 297, and Cannigione 257. With an average of more than three locations visited by each vessel, megayachts are highly mobile along the entire Gallura coastline.

The data was processed by Cipnes Gallura and the Northern Sardinia Maritime Directorate using AIS and Coast Guard monitoring sources. The full study will be presented at the end of the summer.
