Even Vittorio Sgarbi in defense of Marisa Francescangeli, the teacher of San Vero Milis suspended for making the students recite the Ave Maria in class.

The art critic, who is in Sardinia where he took part in the Easter rites of Oliena and inaugurated the exhibition on Anna Gardu's Via Crucis in Irgoli , will go to the town of Oristano tomorrow morning (which he must not know very well, calls him more than once "Melis" ) to meet the teacher.

In an 8-minute video posted on Youtube, Sgarbi defended the teacher and attacked the regional school office in his own way, which decided to suspend her after a report from some parents.

«I'm going to visit Marisa Francescangeli, an extraordinary teacher. I will go to see her to tell her that she has represented the principles of Italian culture in the highest possible way . The Ave Maria, the Our Father, are texts that belong to the tradition of a people. For a teacher to make students recite a Christian prayer is something that deserves a reward and not a punishment,” she says.

Then an appeal to the Minister of Education Giuseppe Valditara: «You cannot tolerate the school office suspending a teacher for 20 days for a prayer, which beyond faith is an act of mental discipline . There are people in that school office who deserve to be kicked out.'

Sgarbi asks that the teacher be rewarded indeed: «Rebel Valditara, prevent the values of our civilization from being treated in this way. We are in a world of madmen, one can take drugs, it is also right to have homosexual relations but our Christian values are not respected ».

That of the art critic is a real crescendo, which ends with a harsh attack on the "cowardly" parents who reported Francescangeli and with a series of insults to the regional school office: "Shame on you. An Office made up of morons, demented, infected, ignorant, corrupt. Yours is a profound corruption against the values of our civilization. Valditara, close this school office and praise this teacher ».
