More than 50 interventions have already been carried out today by the Fire Brigade for the damage caused by the very strong wind that is whipping Cagliari and the whole province.

Dozens of calls came to the operations room for unsafe trees and branches, fallen poles and signs, also due to the collapse of rubble.

A near tragedy on State Road 554 near Quartu, where a tree fell and was later removed by the Fire Brigade.

The areas of Sulcis and Medio Campidano were also affected. In Villacidro, trees have fallen in via Pineta and in the locality of Ruinas. The municipal police also intervened on the spot.

Mayor Paolo Truzzu today closed the city parks and cemeteries . A similar ordinance, again due to the wind, was adopted in Olbia by Settimo Nizzi.
