The "negotiated settlement" to resolve business crises.
Many Sardinian companies have submitted applications in recent months. To be precise: 46, according to UnionCamere surveys for the first half of 2025 and the reprocessing of data by the Research Office of Confartigianato Sardegna.
Of the total, 37% were concluded with a positive outcome : 7 were concluded with an agreement signed by the debtor, the creditors and the expert, 2 with a contract with the creditors with business continuity and 1 with other crisis management procedures.
There are 71 conciliation experts in the field in Sardinia: 36 operate in Cagliari, 18 in Nuoro, 2 in Oristano and 15 in Sassari.
The vast majority of experts are accountants (78.8%), followed by lawyers (19.9%).
"The use of tools to help businesses recover from financial difficulties is also growing in our region," says Giacomo Meloni, president of Confartigianato Imprese Sardegna . "This is a positive development because it will allow many companies currently experiencing difficulties to remain operational once their financial situation has been rebalanced."
"The tools work and are producing results," Meloni adds, "but the data tells us that small businesses are the ones that need the most support so they can access the procedure without delay, as soon as difficult situations arise."
The other tools most commonly used by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises are judicial liquidation and simplified composition with creditors.
