A new and important chapter in the legal battle against the mass culling of cattle in the Nuoro area. This morning, the Regional Administrative Court of Sardinia suspended, for the first time, the Nuoro Local Health Authority's orders to cull vaccinated cattle that had never been ill and were now considered immune because more than 28 days had passed.

The appeals , filed by five companies in the Nuoro area , were signed by lawyers Caterina Zoroddu and Valentina Ceron. This is an important point because it differs from the suspension discussed yesterday by the Regional Administrative Court (the outcome of which is not yet known), which concerned unvaccinated animals that had been in contact with infected cattle.

Meanwhile, other appeals are already being prepared, while the ASL's regulatory measures vary from case to case. The hearing on the merits is scheduled for September 24th. This represents the first milestone for the Nuoro farmers, who are on the verge of a possible class action lawsuit.
