Soumahoro in the storm, skips the appointment with the Cagliari festival
The new parliamentary trade unionist at the center of the controversy over the investigation into the coops for migrants of his wife and mother-in-law: meeting with Pazza Idea canceled
Overwhelmed by the controversy, Aboubakar Soumahoro cancels the Cagliari appointment with the “Pazza Idea” Festival. The trade unionist of the laborers and new parliamentarian elected with the Green and Left Alliance was expected tomorrow morning in the Ghetto to speak about his book "Humanity in revolt, our struggle for work and the right to happiness".
The meeting was supposed to be "a moment of discussion on our present and future, with particular attention to work, multiculturalism, the dream of another possible world".
The appointment had been on the calendar for some time. Meanwhile, however, Soumahoro has been overwhelmed by controversy due to the investigation opened into the companies of his wife and mother-in-law (the latter being investigated for embezzlement) that deal with the reception of migrants. So with a phone call he let the organizers know that, due to the difficult moment, he prefers not to expose himself further.
The festival will continue with the other appointments , both today and tomorrow.
