Regional Councilor for Public Works Antonio Piu, acting as delegate of the Special Commissioner, has ordered the technical and financial approval of the final project for the integrated tender for Lot 2 (Section C) of the SS 195 "Sulcitana" highway. This project involves completing the Cagliari-Pula route, connecting it to the SS 130 highway, and connecting it to Cagliari Elmas Airport, for a total cost of €40 million.

Anas published the tender today, with a deadline of October 16th for the awarding of the executive design, construction, and services. The project, which is the subject of the tender, involves the Municipality of Sarroch and is part of the "Nuova Sulcitana" route between Cagliari and Pula, which will be known as 195 bis.

"This section," Piu explains, "is part of a larger project for the 195 "Sulcitana" highway between Cagliari and Pula and will allow for improved safety standards and shorter travel times between Cagliari and the coastal towns in the southwest of the island. This is a result we have achieved with utmost commitment, just 10 months after my appointment as commissioner, with a view to completing all the works according to a tight schedule. Restoring safe roads that meet traffic flow and travel standards is one of the goals we are pursuing. Roads connect territories and people and must be tools to promote the economy, tourism, and safe travel."
