Among these, the volunteers from our VAB and MASISE, engaged again today, as they were on Saturday, in the delicate cleanup and safety operations at the site. I also thank Acqua Vitana, the Misericordia, and the numerous citizens who collaborated in every way to put out the flames for their invaluable support."

The minority council of the Municipality of Sinnai also intervened in this regard. "Unfortunately," said councilors Walter Zucca, Aldo Lobina, and Roberto Loi, "the devastation struck such a rugged area that it made extinguishing the fires truly challenging. The difficulty in communications—as reported by field operators—even non-existent in large parts of the area, without cell coverage, did the rest, complicating the response at times. Our thanks go to all the operators for their work in defending our territory. The lack, or worse, at times the total absence of telecommunications in the village and surrounding areas, was also evident in this circumstance. We need to invest in prevention.
