Seventh St. Peter, flowers to remember Peppino Impastato

Settimo San Pietro once again remembered Peppino Impastato , the journalist and radio host, killed on May 9, 1978 by the mafia .

He was best known for his denunciations of Cosa Nostra activities.

Four years ago the Municipality of Settimo dedicated a plaque to him placed under an olive tree in the garden of the Town Hall .

Flowers have been arranged next to the stone in memory of his death.

Impastato was killed in Sicily on the same day that Aldo Moro was assassinated in Rome.
