In the parish of San Pietro Apostolo in Settimo San Pietro, in the presence of Archbishop Giuseppe Baturi and the parish priest Don Marco Puddu, the ceremony was held to confer the prestigious honor of Monsignor on Don Giovanni Locci, in recognition of his 66-year priestly journey.

The title of Monsignor was attributed by decree of Pope Leo XIV on the proposal of Archbishop Baturi.

"Our heartiest congratulations go to Monsignor Locci," wrote Mayor Gigi Puddu, "for this recognition that honors the community of Settimo San Pietro."
