The 45-year-old man from Decimoputzu arrested Saturday night after a chase with police and carabinieri from 554 in Sestu was transferred to Uta prison.

The suspect appeared in front of the judge this morning to answer charges of resistance to a public official, receiving stolen goods, damage and attempted injury. The magistrate confirmed the arrest by arranging for the suspect to be detained in the Uta prison. The new hearing with the sentence is set for next April 29th.

The facts are known: a police car during a service scheduled by the manager Massimo Imbimbo, intercepted an off-road vehicle on the 554 that would suddenly have taken the provincial road to Sestu.

In the meantime, the alarm had gone off with the mobilization of a police patrol from the Sestu Station which coordinated by Lieutenant Riccardo Pirali set up a one-way street on the roundabout at the entrance to the town to slow down the off-road vehicle, chased by the police. The off-road vehicle instead ended up on the Alfetta with one of the carabinieri who, to avoid the worst, threw himself on the ditch. Then, still chase with the pick-up that crashed on a wall of via Iglesias in Sestu. Soon after, the 45-year-old was arrested by the police. The off-road vehicle was stolen a few days ago in Villasor.
