Sassari: robbery in a grocery store in Caniga, a young man reported

The person suspected of having carried out a robbery in a grocery store in Caniga, a district of Sassari , last Monday has been reported as free.

The man, a young man from the hinterland , had entered the business, hiding his head with a hood and wearing sunglasses, armed with a toy gun from which he had removed the cap to make it look real. After threatening the owner, he obtained the proceeds and ran away with a small amount of loot .

The local police officers set out on his trail and, using the images of the video surveillance system in the area as well as some testimonies, identified the alleged perpetrator of the episode in the historic center. The suspect was traced to his home where the clothes worn for the robbery were seized and the toy weapon was found .
