A night of great entertainment and an unprecedented crowd for New Year's Eve with music in all the squares of Sardinia .

The Island greeted 2024 with Mengoni in Cagliari, Zucchero and Salmo in Olbia, Ligabue in Alghero, Mahmood in Castelsardo , announced by the fireworks display that lit up the sky from the terraces of the Doria Castle, and again Francesco Renga and Nek in Sassari , Noemi in Nuoro .

Between mega stages, giant screens, fireworks and chromatic frames, the itinerary of concerts crossed the whole of Sardinia in a mosaic of genres and styles, also touching small towns .

Thirty thousand people were expected in Olbia but, according to some estimates, the number of spectators present between the fenced area under the stage of the Brin pier (intended for ten thousand people), and the entire vast space of the sea front and the lower part of the historic center it was closer to 40 thousand .

The highlight was around midnight when the spectators already present for Zucchero were joined by thousands of young people arriving in the city for Salmo , which conquered the second part of the evening, after the speech by Mayor Nizzi, the countdown and the fireworks display on the sea.

In Alghero the immense audience of over 30 thousand people gathered in the Piazzale della Pace greeted the new year by singing Ligabue 's songs. The Emilian artist went on stage at exactly a quarter past midnight and from that moment on it was a frenzy. An intense concert, with "Certe notti" and "Balliamo sul mondo" which were able to enchant the spectators, a mix of acoustic and electric parts and then pure adrenaline. And although the concert was suspended for a moment due to a technical problem, everything started working again with more determination and passion.

Enthusiasm also in Castelsardo to the tune of Mahmood , who gave his fans a show full of emotions after midnight. In Sassari, Nek and Renga's show in Piazza d'Italia , where Renga wanted to underline his happiness in being in Sardinia due to his island roots.

In Cagliari Marco Mengoni lit up the Fiera stage to the tune of Due Vite, the success that led him to victory in Sanremo. An exhilarating hour and a half show, which started at 11.40pm and ended around 1.15am.

Mengoni was moved several times by singing the singles Guerriero, l'Essenziale and Ti ho amore bene truly. So thanks to the public, with the encouragement of returning to Sardinia soon.
