Cagliari resident faces trial for beating children defending their mother.

A 60-year-old professional from Cagliari is on trial for systematic violence and mistreatment against his wife and children.

According to the Tempio Pausania Prosecutor's Office, the alleged young victims' childhoods were marked by violence, both directly suffered and witnessed. The man is accused of events culminating in a series of extremely serious abuses, incidents that occurred when the professional moved to Gallura.

According to the prosecutor's reconstruction, the ex-wife allegedly suffered psychological and physical harassment in the presence of her children (now adults). Even the smallest everyday incidents triggered aggressive reactions: yelling, insults, threats, and physical violence.

The man's very young children watched in terror as he repeatedly outbursts and acts of violence occurred, especially when they all tried to defend their mother . One child, in particular, was allegedly constantly harassed. The alleged victims are represented by lawyers Antonello Desini and Graziella Putzu. The accused denies all charges and is represented by lawyer Antonello Podda.
