Sant'Efisio returned to Stampace, the vote was dissolved

Sant'Efisio has returned to his little church in Stampace. A moment long awaited by those who, every year, follow the celebration of the warrior martyr. The cart pulled by oxen crossed the streets of the city and reached the house of Efis , welcomed by the sound of the bells in celebration and the joy of the devotees, so many of them. Among them are also numerous onlookers and tourists, attracted by the magic of the procession, a treasure chest of tradition, beauty and island pride.

At 11.30pm the cart with the saint arrived in the small square in front of the church. At 11.49pm, at the end of the mass, the president of the Archconfraternity Andrea Loi declared the vote for the 368th year towards Efis, the warrior martyr who freed Cagliari from the plague, dissolved .

And in the small church a liberating applause exploded amidst the joy, hopes and dreams entrusted by the faithful to the Saint. «Atrus annus», the final wish that preceded the song of Is Goccius.
