Aggravated theft at a fishing company: Four people were charged, and over 200 kilograms of stolen fish and €360,000 in cash were seized.

The Oristano State Police , coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor's Office, executed four search and seizure warrants against as many individuals under investigation as part of a complex investigation aimed at shedding light on a series of thefts perpetrated against a well-known company operating in the local fishing sector.

The investigation, initiated following a complaint filed by the company owner, revealed anomalous management of fish shipments leaving the company plant. The documented conduct, characterized by supported by regularity and method, have led to the presumption of the existence of a parallel distribution channel for fish products.

During the searches, and Searches were conducted at the homes, warehouses, and vehicles owned by the suspects, and 40 unlabeled crates of fish were found, consistent in type and packaging with those usually used by the injured company.

The catch was returned to the owner's company for safekeeping. Additional fish, found in unsanitary conditions, was seized by local health authority veterinarians.

During the operation, €360,000 in cash was also seized, hidden under a sink inside the home of one of the suspects. This was the proceeds of the untraceable sale of the stolen fish.

The investigation, still ongoing, continues with the aim of identifying the exact roles played by each suspect and ascertaining the possible presence of other individuals involved or additional unauthorized distribution channels.
